I matched!!!!!

For a residency program, that is. So, I found out yesterday afternoon that I matched somewhere. Woohoo!!!!! That means that I don't have to go into the office today and frantically look for programs around the country that aren't filled and apply to those spots. Also, it means I get to stay here in Utah for residency. Of course, some of you may not be excited because I don't know WHERE I'm going yet, but I find that out on Thursday. I'm just so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay. Have a good day!

WHO's there?!

Hello again. Today I took the kids to see Horton Hears a Who. I would say for kids it was "pretty good". If anyone has seen the old animated one (which is painfully boring) this one is definitely better. McKinley stayed interested the whole time, Sawyer most of it, and Hayden none. It was the MOM showing (Movies on Mondays--kids 5 and under are free, the lights are on a little, and the sound is down a little, and there are kids everywhere.) So that was our activity for the week! Sorry, no pictures this time.

I feel the need for speed!!!! 2/29/08

James and I had a great time with a bunch of friends up in Layton on this indoor speed racing track. They put us all on the course for a qualifying run and then split the groups up according to how fast they did the first run. Both James and I moved up several spots in our bracket. And more importantly, neither of us got passed! In case no one noticed, we are both pretty competitive. We had such a fun time though! It's kind of like bumper cars, but you aren't supposed to bump into people. After the racing, we all went to Village Inn for some not so healthy food.

Hello again. Today we went downtown to the Energy Solutions Arena to see the Disney Princesses who are in town for the ice show. We got to walk down the red carpet, see some princesses, got a couple Mickey Mouse stuffed animals and stickers, and then the princesses had to go and get ready for the show. We'll see them on ice this Saturday afternoon.

We went to Family Night on the Farm at Thanksgiving Point last night for our FHE. Last night's theme was ducks. They had a few little ducklings to look at, a duckie craft to make and then we went around the farm and looked at the animals. This was Sawyer's first time of riding the horse all by himself. He loved it. McKinley wanted the biggest horse this time, seeing as she is such a big girl. And yes, Hayden, had to sit around and watch the fun again. They had a cute little baby bunny in it's bed we saw part of, and we could have helped milk a cow, but neither of them were brave enough until it was too late. Then we drove home for a nice breakfast dinner of ebelskivers. Oh, Hayden had his 9 month appointment yesterday too, and he is 20 lbs 12 oz. He is starting to taper off on his growth curve charts, but he is still about 4 1/2 months ahead of the average boy his age. Hope to read about the rest of you soon!

Spring time!

Yippee! It's March and that means spring will really be here someday! Sooner than later I hope. Yesterday I took the kids to the dino museum again. My sister-in-law has a family pass too so we went together. This time Sawyer wasn't afraid of the "scary noisy's". Tonight I'm working (blah) and today Kent is working until I have to work. I am going to go outside for a springtime walk with the kids though, since it's going to be very warm! See ya'll tomorrow.
